Clomid Nightmare

Work in Progress, Stop Motion Animation, Direct Animation on Film, Sculpture, 10 min
Drawing on personal experiences with fertility challenges, this animated short uses whimsical and crass language to make visible the feelings of frustration, vulnerability, and confusion that I felt while trying to get pregnant. As I have had to re-calibrate my understanding of what it means to be a woman, the film will also question expectations of motherhood and reproductive labor. Craft is very important to the piece, which puts household objects and natural ephemera into a stage for my expression and play. The chicken sculpture was created by Natalia Janul. All other set pieces are created by me.
