Work in Progress
is a feature-length, hybrid documentary about my decision not to have children and the familial, religious, and societal pressures to reproduce. Through interviews, archival footage, animation, and mythical re-enactments, THE CHICKENING lays bare the roots and resurgence of reproductive nationalism in the United States.
